Misheard, Misread

G: What's the plan for today?

Me: After lunch, we're going to the Y.

G's eyebrows go up.
A look of incredulity fills his face.

I can hear it already:
the protests,
the "I don't feel good"s,
the "Why do we have to"s.
I'm already mentally framing my sharp retort.

G: We're going to Hawaii?
